Vicki Peter

Hi, my name is Vicki Peter and I have a passion for teaching. I have been teaching for 25 years and tutoring for 6 years. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Maranatha Baptist University and my Master’s Degree from Bob Jones University. After teaching for several years, I started developing an interest in personal financing and business math. As I studied the subjects, I found my passions grow to include helping upperclassmen prepare for adulthood by learning to manage their finances. So I started teaching Business Math and Personal Financing.

I enjoy tutoring young people because it allows me just to focus on teaching in the purest sense. I find great joy when I see “the light go on” for a student–especially in the area of mathematics which can be abstract and frustrating for students. I have a 100% success rate in which all of my students’ grades improve–most of which see an increase of 2-3 grade levels. I strongly believe that if I can help establish a strong foundation in the areas of Pre-Algebra and Algebra I, students will be successful through the rest of their high school mathematical career.

If your child wants to succeed, I can help them do it!

I am accepting students for Elementary and Middle School math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra I.

Becky Berry

My name is Becky Berry and I’m a homeschool mom. I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tulsa, but after a few years in the oil industry, I followed my passion for teaching. I received my Texas teaching certification and taught Pre-Calculus, Calculus and Physics at Bay Area Christian School before having children and transitioning to a full-time mom. In addition to working at home with my kids, I have tutored for the past 10 years from Algebra to Calculus and high school Physics. While homeschooling, I have taught Physics, Algebra, and elementary STEM at a local homeschool co-op. The past two years I was also a teacher at Colosky’s Math Academy teaching Geometry and Algebra. I enjoy helping students understand math so they can be as excited about the subject as I am.

Degree: B.S. Chemical Engineering

I am qualified and able to tutor in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, College Algebra, Trigonometry, and SAT/ACT Math Prep.

Matthew Tsutsui

I’m quite experienced in the subjects of high school math: Geometry, Algebra I and II, and Trigonometry. I can also tutor for Calculus courses and Differential Equations as needed. I enjoy tutoring and helping others with math in general, so I’m happy to help in any of these subjects. I’ve tutored classmates in Algebra II and Trigonometry during high school, and I’ve also tutored people taking Calculus, PreCalculus, and Differential Equations. I’ve even helped some friends in Discrete Mathematics. Right now, I am teaching a Trigonometry equivalent class at Portland State University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Science for Mathematics from Seattle Pacific University. I’m currently studying to acquire a Master’s in Science for Mathematics Teachers at Portland State University.
