Hello, my name is Tina Couch. I am looking forward to sharing my love of math to help you gain confidence in your knowledge of mathematics. I have over 25 years of experience teaching and tutoring mathematics. I have enjoyed teaching and tutoring middle school, high school, and college students. I have taught in both private and public schools as well as in a homeschool setting. I am happy to tutor Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and Integrated Math classes at any level and look forward to working with you.
I have received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mathematics from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee and a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision in Education from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio.
Hello! My name is Amy Tilson, and I would love to help you grow in your understanding of math. I have over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring middle school and high school math on all levels from 6th grade to Pre-Calculus. I am also able to tutor Trigonometry and College Algebra. I began tutoring students while I was in college working toward a degree in Secondary Math Education. After college graduation, I taught math for several years in the classroom setting before having children and transitioning to the role of homeschool mom. In addition to tutoring students who attend traditional schools, I have taught students in the homeschool setting individually and in small groups. Tutoring is fun for me; I really enjoy working with individuals and being able to see each student gain confidence in understanding and using math concepts.
Degrees: B.S. in Mathematics Education, M.S. in Counseling
Subjects: General Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, College Algebra
Hi, my name is Vicki Peter and I have a passion for teaching. I have been teaching for 25 years and tutoring for 6 years. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Maranatha Baptist University and my Master’s Degree from Bob Jones University. After teaching for several years, I started developing an interest in personal financing and business math. As I studied the subjects, I found my passions grow to include helping upperclassmen prepare for adulthood by learning to manage their finances. So I started teaching Business Math and Personal Financing.
I enjoy tutoring young people because it allows me just to focus on teaching in the purest sense. I find great joy when I see “the light go on” for a student–especially in the area of mathematics which can be abstract and frustrating for students. I have a 100% success rate in which all of my students’ grades improve–most of which see an increase of 2-3 grade levels. I strongly believe that if I can help establish a strong foundation in the areas of Pre-Algebra and Algebra I, students will be successful through the rest of their high school mathematical career.
If your child wants to succeed, I can help them do it!
I am accepting students for Elementary and Middle School math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra I. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
